Executive Director

Practical Experience

Lauren was born and raised in East Texas. She graduated from Texas A&M University with a B.A. in Communication. During her time at Texas A&M University, Lauren worked on behalf of the National Marrow Donor Program through Scott & White Hospital where she recruited donors for the national bone marrow registry. After graduation, she accepted a position in transplant services at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas as a search coordinator for bone marrow and PBSC transplants. Upon joining Baylor as a search coordinator, she and her team were recognized as the #1 donor center in the country of the National Marrow Donor Program.

Journey to Integrative Health

After returning to her hometown of Tyler, Lauren worked for Christus TMF Rehabilitation Hospital, then in marketing for an educational publisher for 5 years before joining Integrative Health Matters as Business Manager in 2017. She completed her Master’s in Healthcare Administration at the University of Texas at Tyler in 2020 and is a graduate of Leadership Tyler Class 35. She currently works as Executive Director and leads the IHM team.

As a professional with a young family, Lauren admits that balancing life, staying active, and eating healthy does not always come easy. She believes in the value of integrative and functional medicine and is grateful to be part of the IHM family.

Passions

Lauren has a passion for young, single, pregnant women and has started support groups in Tyler for struggling mothers. She currently serves women by volunteering at Christian Women’s Job Corp.

Interests

Lauren enjoys traveling, being in the sun, and spending time with her husband and three children.
